Vitamin E

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is the ultimate skincare ingredient. It works to moisturise, soothe and protect against free radicals and is full of anti-ageing benefits. Free radicals are harmful molecules generated by UV radiation from sunlight and pollution which damage your skin and weaken its elasticity.

As an antioxidant, vitamin E works to neutralise the environmental stressors that destroy collagen and cause fine line and premature ageing.  It is also a photo-protectant – when used in conjunction with sunscreen it provides a double-whammy to help your skin fend off sun damage, dark spots and fine lines. A fat-soluble ingredient, vitamin E can penetrate deep into your skin, preserving the lipids in your face and soothing any cracks in the skin barrier caused by irritation or inflammation, helping to keep skin hydrated and firm. Serums and creams containing vitamin E are particularly suitable for those with dry, very dry, or mature skin.

A formulation containing both vitamin E and vitamin C creates an anti-ageing powerhouse which protects against UV rays, promotes healthy skin cell growth, brightens skin tone, boosts collagen production, and fights even harder to prevent free-radical damage.
